Our teams are grouped into four core strands to underpin our strategy and business model. These are customer performance, centre performance, finance and central support.
We have around 2,600 staff employed in 15 locations across the UK, in 14 centres and at 40 Broadway, London and in Spain.? Of these, around 2,130 are frontline shopping centre staff directly employed by intu Retail Services.

Talent and development
Our aim is to give staff more insight and understanding of the strategic direction of the business and to increase opportunities for people to take on new skills. Our world class service programmed enables all staff to deliver a compelling experience. We've also introduced a national apprenticeship scheme to grow the next generation of talent.
Making sure our staff understand our business and know how they can contribute to its success is crucial. We use a range of channels to communication with our staff, wherever they work in the business, from the intranet to staff meetings to 'toolbox talks'.
Our annual staff survey continues to show widespread employee engagement with 84% of staff proud to work for intu and 94% agreeing that intu puts the customer at the?heart of everything we do.
We continue to encourage staff to achieve their personal and professional goals and to take part in our corporate responsibility, community support and sustainability programmes.?
In 2016 intu launched it's first national apprenticeship scheme following a successful pilot the year earlier. The programme?guarantees each individual a full time role with intu following the completion of their apprenticeship. intu has worked with leading apprenticeship provider First4Skills to set up and develop the programme which recruited five apprentices during its pilot year, including Adam Gillespsie?and Billy Wells.

The role of the board and it's committees
The board,?executive?committee and senior management team are responsible for the effective control and proper management of the group as a whole. The board’s overarching objective is to ensure that the group delivers long-term sustainable growth in returns for its shareholders.
Led by the chairman, the board takes primary responsibility for?delivering the group's strategic objectives, risk appetite and controls environment; for monitoring delivery of strategy by the executive committee; and for shopping the resourcing, culture and values by which the wider business delivers targeted performance.
Our non-executive directors bring an external and independent view to the boards discussions providing constructive challenge to the executive committee
The executive committee considers investment proposals, reviews progress on projects and project expenditure in details an receives updates on other business matters. It has delegated authority, within limits, to authorise initiatives and expenditure

Our senior management team bring together a wealth of expertise and experience from across multiple disciplines, ensuring that the group delivers against its strategy
Head of fun
After reviewing over 100 fun applications and carrying out interviews, the search for?intu Braehead's?Head of Fun came to an exciting head as?they found not one, but two!
Aidan Smith (7) and Lucie Roy (7) both impressed the interview panel so much that the team just had to snap them both up on a year-long contract.
Their job is to bring a smile to everyone who comes through the doors of intu Braehead and make the centre even more child-friendly than it already is.
The new recruits will advise the management team on children’s activities, review the latest toys, restaurants and leisure attractions, help organise the intu Braehead Kids’ Club and meet with Santa and his elves at Christmas.
